Information on memory configuration: Our memory team is happy to assist you in choosing the right RAM and configuring your server. The following technical details should be considered in advance:

• The CPU supports 6 DIMMs per memory channel.
• You can use RDIMM or LRDIMM memory. LRDIMM memory is particularly recommended when large memory capacities are required.
• Registered DIMM and Load Reduced LRDIMM memory modules must not be mixed. Therefore, when upgrading, you should know which memory is already present or upgrade completely to either RDIMM or LRDIMM memory.
• Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated.
• Higher memory frequencies may adjust to other memory clock rates in the system environment and support correspondingly slower clock rates.
• Intel Xeon Gold 62xx processors that support 2933 MT/s DIMMs do so only with 1 DIMM per channel. If you configure 2 DIMMs per channel, the memory speed will drop to 2666 MT/s.
