Yes cartridges are supplied with the printer, but they have a smaller capacity. :)

I have never tested this function either. I suggest you contact Brother's support. When I made a request, it worked very quickly.

The machine is primarily an MFP (multifunction printer: print, scan, fax) - but not colour fast for photo printing, no matter on which paper and with which settings. I use a Canon selphy for creating passport photos.

Exactly. Preferably around the lower A3 shaft and in the upper A4. Awesome device. The print quality is also a huge improvement on the MFC-J6720. I can only recommend it.
