Hello Francesco,

I highly recommend the "StarTech 12U 4 Post Open Frame". I have had this for 1 year and is extremely easy to assemble, is very stable, and doesn't take up too much space. I have 2 Fantec SRC-2080X07 in it. Unfortunately I have to buy a bigger rack now as I don't have enough space. If you are interested I can sell them here at Digitec.

Hello

You want to connect from the mainboard with SATA to the backplane of the Fantec with Mini SAS SFF-8087? Then this is the wrong cable.
You need a reverse cable like this one:

StarTech SAS8087S4R50 (50cm)

Delock Reverse SAS Cable: 4xSATA - SFF8087, 1m (100cm)
