Apart from the Silverfast software and the additional film/slide holders, what is different about the V850 Pro than the V800 Photo, and why do I want the Silverfast software, or what would I miss if I didn't have Silverfast? Thanks in advance for answers and best regards!

It depends, of course, on what you want to scan. But as soon as they scan negatives or slides, they don't want to miss Silverfast. The quality of the scans is on a completely different level.
