With standard setup, despite a gigabit line, I only get about 70 megabits when cabling with new Cat-6 cables (tried two different ones) and a gigabit switch (over 900 megabits come in and out via cable). What do I have to change in the setting to get close to 300 megabits?

Helpful answer

The speed specifications of the manufacturer's WLAN and what you can actually use are two different things. The data transfer rate of 300 Mbit/s is gross data. The net usable speed can sometimes be a lot lower.

In addition. If you buy cheap, you buy twice.
The LAN port of the Tp-Link TL-WA801N is only capable of 100 Mbit/s (in words: one hundred) and

not 10 times what you actually think you have.
