Question about Samsung Galaxy Tab A8

We bought the Samsung tablet because an iPad was too expensive for our children. They mainly use it for videos and apps. We are shocked that our 14-year-old iPad still has the better battery life. After 2 hours of videos and a week of lying around, the battery is empty. Is that normal?

The Axx smartphones and tablets are Samsung's entry-level devices. If you want better performance (including battery life), the Sxx models are the way to go, but the price is double that of an iPad.
Having bought this A8 model myself and later an S6 model, the difference in battery life between these two models is impressive, while the difference in battery capacity between the two models is not so great.

In the Apple range, you also have different models (iPad Air, Pro, etc.) whose performance (including battery life) is as good as their price.

That said, according to the feedback I get, if you compare low/mid/high-end models between Apple and Samsung, on the whole Apple products have longer battery life (it's an average, in some cases Samsung wins).
