Hello Linda! The difference is in the size. With the silhouette 4 you can plot up to a width of approx. 30cm. With the 4plus up to 38cm. Whether you cut the backing depends on the setting. If the pressure or the cutting depth is too high, you will cut the backing. The programme has quite good presettings, but you can adjust them according to your own experience. Depending on the film, sometimes you just have to test it. I order my films from jasando.ch and am very satisfied with them. Kind regards

The Ktec power supply is available separately. Model KSAS0362400125M2. Google presents several places of purchase. Digitec does not have the original power supply in its range. mdtextile.com , swingdesign.com, online.auctionnation.com, allegro.pl, thevinylspectrum.com. At https://www.mdtextile.com it costs 20 euros, without shipping. https://www.mdtextile.com/silhouette...

Unfortunately, there are no instructions at all with the machine. Only various links that refer to the Silhouette manufacturer's website. But you can't really find anything there either. The best thing is to google and youtube...

Hello, you can use any foil you like. The plotter cuts the paper length endlessly. I have already plotted up to 2m in length, but I'm sure you can do even more directly from the roll.
