With the stovetop maker, you can prepare a strong and rich Italian moka coffee, which also serves as a good base for milk coffees. Stovetop espresso makers come in different sizes, as the filter must always be fully loaded with coffee. Otherwise, the water passes through the filter too quickly, resulting in a weak brew. By using two or more differently sized stovetop makers, you can brew a flexible amount of coffee at once. The Moka Express stovetop maker is made of aluminum and can be used on electric and gas stoves. The coffee used in the stovetop maker should be ground finer than for filter coffee but slightly coarser than actual espresso grind. We recommend freshly roasted coffee beans and a high-quality coffee grinder.
