The Momentum by Black Diamond is a versatile harness that feels somewhat underutilized in the climbing gym. It truly shines outdoors, especially on multi-pitch routes. Black Diamond has constructed the harness using Dual Core Construction, which means that two webbing strands run along the top and bottom edges of the waistbelt, stabilizing the EVA foam insert and allowing for maximum breathability due to their non-continuous design. This not only ensures optimal pressure distribution but also keeps the weight of the harness low. All of this is encased in a highly abrasion-resistant nylon material, capable of withstanding the highest performance demands. With such comfort, hanging in the harness at a belay station is quite pleasant even for extended periods. The proven Speed-Adjust safety buckle on the waistbelt is pre-threaded, allowing for quick donning and doffing of the Momentum harness without user error. The leg loops are also designed for error-free operation, as the new TrakFIT adjustment features a sliding regulation within a closed flexible system. Additionally, Black Diamond has enhanced safety with a color-accented tie-in loop, where the blue loop stands out clearly against the gray webbing. The elastic adjustment straps of the leg loops can be individually tailored and can be detached from the waistbelt. In between, there is a pull loop sewn in, which can lift not only ropes with a strength of 12 kN but also heavy gear for long routes. The Momentum is completed with four molded gear loops that facilitate hassle-free clipping and unclipping of carabiners.
