IP Rating: IP-65 waterproof. The lights meet the ANSI FL-1 standard. This standard was developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to provide a consistent measurement of flashlight performance. Although bicycle lights are not required to meet this or any other standard, Blackburn places great importance on full transparency regarding performance measurements, runtimes, water resistance, and other specifications.

The IP-65 rating is a technical designation for a product's resistance to water and dust. This light has an IP-65 rating, meaning it is completely dust and gravel resistant and absolutely resistant to strong water jets from all directions.
