The NTA 8776 certification arose from the increasing use of e-bikes as urban transportation. This standard takes into account the higher average speeds and the resulting higher impact energies in accidents. To meet the requirements, the helmet must be able to dissipate more energy compared to standard helmets, and also cover the most vulnerable areas – temples and neck – additionally. In simple terms, the E-Mob is therefore one of the safest and simultaneously lightest city helmets in its class.
