FollowMe tandem coupling
FollowMe tandem coupling
You can drive the children around with this coupling from the age of three safely
The axle of the bike must be replaced. You need to check whether the quick-release axle supplied fits your bike or whether you need an optional axle. You can find more information on the Follome website
No, the device can only handle 20-inch wheels. A 24-inch wheel would be blocked by the frame.
It's hard going uphill, but of course it helps if the child pedals. Traction is via the rear wheel.
Yes no problem to fix the follow me on any adult bike preferably. There are several mounting kits that come with it normally...
According to the data collected from the supplier, the quick release axle is supplied. Which can go through the axle, but if you have a full/solid axle, full axle adapters can be purchased in the necessary sizes: https://www.galaxus.ch/fr/comparison/3839435-3839438-3839436
Yes, at least not with mine
According to our research, this product is compatible with all 26" and 28" bikes without the need for an adapter.
There is an adapter for a 9mm wooden axle quick release included. If the rear wheel is fastened with wheel nuts, you also need a "FollowMe 3/8" full axle adapter". There are also adapters for thru axles.
Hello Unfortunately no. 20" is the highest of feelings. Our boys are now also at the last age of 20". Next year they will have to ride alone. Then they will have to choose shorter routes.
Yes, it has to be ordered separately, it comes with the standard clamping system, which has this 8mm stem and is pre-tensioned via the eccentric.
Yes. The maximum size of the wheel to which the FollowMe tandem hitch can still be attached is 29 x 2.00 (tyre dimension). To check: The radius of the rear wheel on the towing vehicle must not be larger than 38 cm.
However, since both the Thule and the tandem hitch are mounted on the rear axle with a different system, the change is not quick.
This would be the adapter 131.400. This is the version that the manufacturer offers for the front axle on a child's bike that is equipped with a quick release. The quick-release function is not available, but the wheel is securely connected.
Hello, in principle no problem. We have already ridden dozens of kilometres with the FollowMe behind our electric bike. Just check the compatibility of the rear wheel attachment and provide an adapter if necessary. We've also had a problem with the FollowMe colliding with the mudguard, but soluble with a little imagination. But none of this is specific to an electric bike. And we highly recommend this product: great for the whole family! :-)

Hi, It comes with everything you need to make it work, I'm using it on a 29' bike and it works great. So, as far as I know you don't need anything extra
The bracket is included. The coupling can be used directly without further accessories. Various adapters for the front axle are also included.
With a quick release, you can mount both the Thule coupling and the Followme. But you cannot use both at the same time.
Hello, I bought this product. I bought this product and it is the "A" type that is currently mounted on my bike. I hope I have helped you. I hope I have been able to help you.
Nope, everything is included. With the strap you can also mount it on the saddle, that's how we did it.
If your rear wheel is mounted with a quick release, then you probably don't need anything. Otherwise you should also order the full axle adapters (attention, make sure you use the correct thread). I had to reorder them at the time. If you want to switch the FollowMe back and forth between two parent bikes, then an additional quick-release axle or full axle adapter is recommended. I have one, it's very practical.
I use this tandem hitch on a bike with 26" wheels, but I don't see any problem (rather advantages) with larger wheels. The tyre width of 2.10 should fit between them without any problems. Have a good ride! If anything, I have found that not all children's bikes are equally suitable, depending on the shape and size of the frame and the position of the bars and crossbars.
According to the manufacturer (http://www.followme-tandem.com/followme-funktionsweise.htm): All 26" - 29" (up to max. 2.6 tyres, depending on tyre profile) with and without rear suspension ("Fully") with quick release wheel mounting. Wheels with solid axle, thru axle or hub gears can be prepared with optionally available adapters. So this is likely to be rather tight...
According to the manufacturer "No": TRAILER BICYCLES: all 26" - 29" (up to max. 2.6 tyres, depending on tyre profile) with and without rear suspension ("Fully") with quick release wheel mounting. Source: http://www.followme-tandem.com/followme-funktionsweise.htm
