The Drago is rightly considered a classic among Scarpa's Softline models. It is a relatively soft climbing shoe that excels in friction climbing on volumes while providing some support for standing on small footholds. The asymmetrical, highly tensioned high-end model features a downturn and a high toe box, made from a microfiber upper material, with leather used in the toe area. It is constructed from seven pieces that are sewn together in a way that perfectly conforms to the foot—without causing pressure points, of course. The midfoot receives some support from the PCB-Tension system while still allowing for freedom of movement.

The Drago's midsole is equipped with a Flexan insert in the big toe area, which relieves the foot when standing confidently on small footholds and edges. The only 2 mm thick rubber layer at the heel and the M5 rubber on the toe cap allow for precise heel and toe hook placements.
