For the model year 2024, the Smart Sam from Schwalbe presents itself as a versatile all-rounder with excellent characteristics. The modern tread pattern of the tire performs optimally both off-road and on the road. Closely spaced lugs arranged both horizontally and vertically on the compact center ridge of the tread ensure excellent ground contact and efficient rolling of the MTB wire tire. The angular outer lugs provide high grip and secure cornering – even on loose surfaces – in combination with this tread pattern. This makes the Smart Sam the ideal choice for those who frequently switch between road and terrain. Additionally, Schwalbe has also considered users of motorized bicycles: The Smart Sam is certified according to ECE-R75, making it suitable for S-Pedelecs and E-bikes with pedal assistance up to 50 km/h.

To ensure not only fast rolling characteristics but also balanced handling, Schwalbe has equipped the Smart Sam with the proven ADDIX Performance rubber compound. This is characterized by high durability, good damping properties, and excellent ground grip. No compromises were made in terms of puncture protection either: A continuous layer of Snake-Skin fabric and additionally double-layered polyamide fabric (RaceGuard) under the tread make the tire very resistant to punctures. Furthermore, reflective strips on the sides enhance passive safety by improving visibility in poor light conditions.
