Z-Wave Fibaro Door Sensor 2 Black

The Fibaro Door and Window Sensor is a battery-operated, Z-Wave compatible contact sensor. It combines two devices into one easy-to-use product (reed and temperature sensor). The sensor can be used to monitor the status (open/closed) of doors, windows, window blinds, or garage doors. Additionally, the integrated temperature sensor measures the temperature at the installation location and reports the value to the Z-Wave hub.

The product consists of two elements, one of which is mounted on the movable part of the window or door. The other part is fixed to the frame. The sensor must be included in the Z-Wave network using a remote control or another Z-Wave controller. When an action is detected by the sensor, it sends a signal to the Z-Wave main controller. Compared to its predecessor, the Fibaro Door/Window Sensor 2 features a more compact and rounded design, along with the permanently integrated temperature sensor. However, there is no longer a free binary input available.

The Fibaro System

Fibaro is an intelligent building automation system made up of miniature modules that can be installed practically anywhere in your home and are compatible with any electrical system. However, the Fibaro devices are not permanently linked to the building infrastructure, allowing you to easily remove the modules from the wall and install them in a different location when redesigning your apartment. Through the mesh network, the modules update their location after reinstallation and resume cooperation with the other system components.
