The genesis of the Japanese Dice Set is strongly influenced by Virtues derived from the old traditions of the Samurai, known in the West mainly in an embellished, romantic version. This is completely sufficient to transfer certain elements to our times, creating a vision of the Samurai as a man not only trained in combat but also having adamant willpower, unrelenting self-discipline, and a strong system of values. According to the Bushido Code, these noble warriors were a great example of what every man and woman should strive to be in their lives.
The Bushido Code is represented by seven major Virtues, originally called Gi, Rei, Yu, Meiyo, Jin, Makoto, and Chu - translated as Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Honesty, and Loyalty, respectively. We wanted our Japanese Dice to reflect these Virtues in a non-obvious but eloquent way. We know that our fans are gifted with great imagination, so we allow ourselves the following interpretation.

Some people have wondered why we have so many dragon dice in our range. This may be because you can't really imaginea fantasy RPG setting without different kinds of dragons, can you?
The difference between East and West is also an argument about what dragons are. In the Far East, they are believed to be wise and good beings that help people. They are also said to bring good luck. In the West, dragons are dangerous monsters that eat people and burn property. Sometimes the dragon is even the harbinger of the apocalypse. But the world is one, so our dragon cubes are meant to reconcile, not divide. That's why we were able to design universal dragon cubes dedicated to all these majestic creatures. After reading the entire canon of "Dragonology", it is clear: dragons are wise creatures that can be good, evil or neutral, just like humans and characters in an RPG. Our sets could be made from no other raw material than that which comes from the lands marked HIC SUNT DRACONES on ancient maps. We won't tell you where we got this great material, but thanks to it our engraved dice will last for years. Like the dragon scales, they will be beautiful and amazing for a long time. It should also be mentioned that the dragon cubes have been made almost since the beginning of Q WORKSHOP's history and the latest series are second to none on the market today. We have perfected them over the years and plan to continue upgrading the technology so that there will never be better cubes that are truly worthy of a dragon treasure.

Runic dice are one of the first ever created by designers in Q WORKSHOP, and we always remember them, as our first step to conquering the world with our dice. First Runic Dice were handmade and hand-painted in such meticulous passion that to this day we are bewondered by their quality and charm.
Runes are always a mystery. These sigils, full of secrets are always something that catches the eye and raises questions about the forgotten lore of ancients. The runes used to functioned as letters, but they were much more than just letters. Each rune was a sigil of some supernatural power and to write a rune was to invoke and direct the force for which it stood. Runes were traditionally carved onto stone, wood, bone, metal, or some similarly hard surface rather than drawn with ink and pen on parchment. This explains why we choose them for carvings on the dice. We wont to make durable dice imbued with the power of magic because there is “real magic” in roleplaying games. Now you can “write” tales about your adventures with Runic Dice.
These dice are marked with the Runic alphabet, which makes them more than normal sets. People have been studying Runic writing for ages. Our designers have consulted the use of the Runic alphabet with Nordic runemasters and the last Dwarven race representatives. Geomancy doesn’t always go according to the plan. Nevertheless, our metal dice are to be created with dedication and risk. Metal Steampunk RPG dice cannot be simply cast in the factory of Q WORKSHOP. We must use alternative methods, so we used the power of thunders and water. We bought a machine for the production of storm clouds, built in a dice cast machine and overcharged it. Now we know two things: firstly, you would not want to be around. Secondly, that‘s the way our metal steampunk dice will be created! Dice were falling from the sky like hail. We couldn’t keep up with collecting and packing them into our elegant boxes. Created from tin, Jupiter's metal, they are the top creation of our geomants. Then we only had to polish them and decorate with elegant symbolic cogs and wheels carvings, so that they fit into the best frock coat of our clients. They are sophisticated and effective in all games. We recommend our ladies customers a tasteful pouch for them and maybe a mechanical boy to carry them, because it's a decent metal, not some kind of empty shell.
Nothing works better for women like an elegant man in a matching three-piece suit. Well, maybe a gallant style and joie de vivre. A suit is today's knight's armor, and just aa a shiny armor can have no scratches, the same goes for the suit – not a smallest spot is allowed. Grease, gasoline, ectoplasm are passé. Wyvern’s shoes, silk tie from Shangri-la and Atlantis cufflinks are mostly valued, although many men have them.
