I would like to use this thermostat in a holiday home with an electric radiator. Will it work without wifi or how do the mobile app and thermostat communicate?

The mobile app and thermostat communicate via the Tado Bridge. This is connected to your router via Ethernet. Wifi is not required. An internet connection is necessary.
