Gas cooker for connection to "normal" propane gas bottles

Is there a real reason why most (all?) of the gas cookers on offer here are not suitable for connection to the normal propane gas cylinders used for barbecues? Or is that just so that the respective manufacturer can also sell its proprietary gas container and make additional margin?

    Trangia Duossal

Grüezi Since 2018, Trangia is supposed to offer the Duossal material, which is metal combined with aluminium. Can you get the corresponding sets? Thank you!

    2-burner portable gas cooker

I am currently researching these extremely practical "things". I have already bought 2 single-flame Asian things from the Asian shop for about 20-40 CHF - with the spray can-like gas cartridges. As a hobby cook with a normal 4-burner glass ceramic hob, I use the gas cooker for searing a good roast, as a heat source for the wok and also as a heat source for larger fondues (meat, cheese etc). The heat regulation is much faster and more flexible. If you know a good two-flammer? The one from Camping-Gaz is ok, but also costs something. Maybe there are alternatives... Köbi from T.
