Durometer for measuring Shore hardness D of materials such as hard rubber and thermoplastics. Accuracy of ±2 hardness degrees, resolution of 0.5 hardness degrees, with hold function. The durometer is a compact device designed for Shore D hardness testing, intended for harder materials like hard rubber and thermoplastics. A 30° cone is used as the indentor with a pressing force of 50 Newtons. The test samples should not be less than 6 mm in thickness. If the test sample is thinner, it should be reinforced on the back with another sample of the same material to increase the thickness.
