The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit optimally into the screw head. The best possible power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables quick work, and it is significantly more efficient than with any other drives.

The screws with partial thread are excellently suited for fastening thin components such as wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or posts. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shank remains in the attachment part. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least the thickness of the attachment component.

The term 4CUT refers to the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during screwing and create space for the core diameter of the screw. The spreading pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced, preventing the wood from splitting near the edge. The necessary torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, as the core of the screw does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.

The abbreviation A2 in our stainless steel screws comes from the alloy of the steel. Screws made of stainless steel A2 offer high protection against corrosion and medium strengths. Their resistance to seawater and acids is low. Therefore, they are used for fastening in outdoor areas far from the coast.
