The large SPAX flat head pulls two components together with great force, while the optimized partial thread is matched to the high load-bearing capacity of the flat head. We have adjusted the shaft length to the most common wood thicknesses. The interaction of the large flat head and optimized partial thread allows for a reduction in screw diameter (5 mm instead of 6 mm) while maintaining the same load capacity.
