I'm about to make a purchase decision for the next holidays. I've been buying a DJI Osmo Mobile on and off for years (version 6 most recently). In certain respects, the devices have improved (features and control), worse in others (motor performance). Now I would like to upgrade again and am faced with the decision of whether a DJI Osmo Pocket in the latest version might be an option. The advantage of the mobile / gimbal is of course the direct link to your own smartphone (all images and videos are immediately available)... At the same time, however, there is the problem that frequent use causes the battery to drain noticeably and therefore needs to be recharged more often, e.g. when on holiday. What is your experience and what speaks more in favour of the Gimbel and what in favour of the Pocket? Additional question: if there is more in favour of the gimbal....which version is the better one? DJI Osmo Mobile 8 or Insta360 flow 2? Many thanks for your comments

Since the Sony FDR x3000, I've been desperately looking for an almost aerodynamic action cam with 4K, GPS and an excellent stabiliser. I had always used it without a protective cover to reduce drag. Unfortunately, almost all current and well-known action cams on the market are like small bricks.

Dear Community I'm looking for an action cam that I can easily use as a tour guide on motorbike tours. One cam should be fixed to the rear when riding. A second cam should face forwards, but should also be able to be used away from the motorbike for cool shots (films and photos/pictures). Unfortunately, I can't find accurate information anywhere about the biclk field of the newer GoPros (quite strange). Hello together I am looking for an action cam that can transmit the image to a display wirelessly and with as little delay as possible. The cam is to be installed on an RC car. Since the driving route goes around the house, between trees, behind garden sheds/bushes/hedges and hills, most of the route is not visible to the driver with the naked eye. So the idea is that the driver receives images in real time and can thus navigate the car out of sight. (Analogue drones) With the usual suspects (GoPro etc.), which transmit the image via WLAN and have a delay of several seconds, this is not feasible. Do any of you have an idea how this could be realised? Many thanks in advance. Flo

For some time now I have been looking for a dashcam that I could use in the truck. My problem is that most of them are glued to the windscreen. But since I have a different vehicle every day, this is not ideal. The best would be one with a suction cup, but I can't find a usable one.

Good evening all For training videos in water sports, I am looking for a waterproof action cam with a wide angle (approx. 170°) and long battery life (>90 minutes). The video quality is not so important. A screen on the front would be a plus. After searching here for a while, I haven't found a suitable camera. Either the battery life is good, but then the angle is 145° (Dji Osmo) or 155° (GoPro) or otherwise the battery life is poor (Easypic Goxtreme). Which cam can you recommend? Best regards Thomas

As an architect / construction manager I am looking for a 360° camera to document projects. For example, to briefly record all rooms at the beginning of a project so that you can check things from the office that you forgot to photograph (with a normal camera). Or to document the construction site during execution. High-end quality for the final documentation is not a priority - great if possible, but otherwise it has to be rather pragmatic... Video functions are hardly in demand, still images would be much more important to me! Recommendations? Thanks! :)

Heyo Community Since I have enjoyed the wilderness and nature this year, possibly also thanks to Corona (I bought an outdoor hammock), I would like to buy an action camera (preferably with high resolution, 4k) next. It should not be a photo camera, as I have very little space in my backpack. Which offer (I am very much looking at the brand "GoPro", as some friends use such a product) is suitable for such outdoor trips, occasionally also for skiing or hiking? I briefly owned a DJI osmo pocket camera. To use the camera you have to register with DJI. I did that, but I only entered my email address. When I look at my DJI account, it only says my email address and username, so djiuser_xxirgedwas. I keep getting advertisements from DJI. Since I no longer have the camera, I have applied for account deletion. Now DJI is asking for my full name to delete my account. I don't see the point as my name is not listed anywhere. I would not do that. I'd rather delete my email account that DJI is registered with. What would you do?

With the action cameras, only 3D recording can be selected as a filter in the camera functions. However, this does not really apply to the selection of cameras. One should distinguish between the following points: - 3D (actually it should be called stereoscopy), it needs 2 lenses looking in the same direction to make this possible. (3D is only the effect that occurs in our brain when we see stereoscopic images. To create 3D you need other cameras). - 360° corresponds to all-round vision, but this is not necessarily built in with stereoscopy.

Hello all, I am a hobby photographer (cars, landscapes) and am slowly moving into carspotting. I have often had the opportunity to ride in sports cars. Most of the time, I have not been able to film these journeys satisfactorily from the interior with my DSLR. I own a cheap GoPro Session. I am actually very satisfied with the camera. Sometimes, however, the shots are very blurred, and that's a real pain to watch. A gimbal would be great, but it's very expensive. Is there a good action camera with integrated stabilisation? How does it work then? Optically or by software?
