Hello Community I currently have the Sunrise Connect Box 3 (https://www.sunrise.ch/en...) and because I can't change the DNS settings there, I would like to set the Sunrise Connect Box 3 to bridge mode and use the 7590 as a router instead. Does anyone have a similar setup and are there any experience reports here? What do I need to pay attention to? Are there any important points to consider before making the switch? Many thanks in advance, greetings.

Who can give me a recommendation for a SIM card-capable router with at least 2 ports? ports?

Hi I'm looking for a mobile router/hotspot for a trip to the Nordcap, can anyone recommend something (MultiSIM!)

I have quite poor bandwidth at home via a DSL copper line. Swisscom would offer me a 5G booster to improve this. I'm now wondering whether I shouldn't switch to a 5G router completely? My 5G coverage is excellent. Do you have any experience?

My children managed to bypass the parental control on my LG TV and keep watching youtube. I have the UPC/Sunrise connect box and it does not have a parental control. I was thinking about having a router with optic fiber and a parental control (youtube) before the Connect box. Which one would you recommend?

Is it possible to configure the modem supplied by Galaxus for their 10Gbs fibre optic internet service in bridge mode? I have my own Synology RT6600ax router which I want to use to connect my 4 other Synology RT6600ax and WR560 access points in order to benefit from maximum Mesh Wifi coverage (of course the 10Gbs will be limited by the Synology's 2.5Gps, as Synology still doesn't support 10Gbs).

I need a 5G router as an alternative to bridge the gap until I have DSL internet at home. I have a data sim that I would like to use to supply the house. What would be a cost-effective solution?

I need a hardware load balancer to connect WAN to two web servers. Which router/firewall can do this?

Hello Who can recommend a good Zyxel WLAN router for my home? As many accesses as possible, firewall and user-friendly (for my parents, over 50/60)? E.G. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/zyxel-vmg3312-t20a-wireless-router-gigabit-ethernet-single-band-white-router-24161875 This one?

Like many others here, I am interested in the Salt Fiber offer - mainly because of the alleged speed. Now the whole thing seems a bit too good to be true. Are there any people here who already have Salt Fiber and would like to share their experiences? Can the promised speed actually be achieved? What hardware do you use (PCI cards etc.)?

Ubuiqiti has released a three new devices for 10G networks (Cloud Gateway Fiber, Express 7, Dream Router 7). When can we expect the new products at digitec?

Does anyone have experience with 10G routers and Initi7? For example ASUS GT-BE98 seems to be interesting, but you need an SFP+ module and a converter SFP+->LAN.

Does anyone know if another router also works with Salt Fiber? Preferably directly on the fibre connection. Possibly also in combination with the Salt router in bridge mode (although I have the impression that bridge mode is not possible, at least in the current firmware version).

Hi I am looking for a replacement for my Sunrise Internet Box, which is unusable. I would like to have just a fibre modem, so that I can connect from the fibre network to the LAN without NAT or anything else, and then connect any other router. Can you recommend a fibre modem that will work with Sunrise fibre? If possible, as small as possible, not as huge as the Sunrise Box. NAT / Firewall / WLAN is not needed. I have other hardware at the back for this. It's really only about the modem.

Hello together I have the Yallo Internet Box Home Fibre Box 2 and would like to change the default IP range from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.50.1, for example. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to change this in the router settings. I have also read here in the forum that the bridge mode has been removed in newer versions of the router. If this is true, it seems to further limit the configuration options. Does anyone have experience with this device and know whether it is still possible to change the IP range? If not, is there perhaps another solution or an alternative router that could be used?

I have inserted a 5G mobile SIM card into my Xiaomi 5G CPE Pro router, but only the SYSTEM and Wi-Fi indicators light up. Is there a procedure to get the router working in this configuration (update, app, link or similar)? Many thanks in advance ( P.s, I need the router for my caravan )

Would it be possible to include the "OpenWrt One" router in the range?

Does anyone have experience with the Yallo "Internet Box Home Cabel"? Does the IPv4 restriction of the box only apply to the bridge mode or does the box support IPv4 in the internal LAN? Does the box have a configurable DHCP server for IP reservations? Because I would like to connect my devices (printer, NAS, etc.) with a fixed IPv4 IP address to the Box via LAN cable. Hello I would like to connect my 5G mobile phone to a WiFi router using a USB cable and use it to access the Internet (i.e. mobile phone and WiFi router only). I'm not satisfied with the hotspot stability of my mobile phone using a "personal hotspot", but it works fine via USB tethering (with Windows 11). Of course there are 5G routers - but I would like a router with the above range of functions that is as inexpensive as possible. Can anyone recommend a product that does this (it's an Android phone)?

Does anyone have any experience of which fibre optic router offers comparable WLAN performance to the Internetbox 2 from Swisscom? Background: My new Internet provider - GGA Maur - has provided me with a fibre router whose WLAN does not provide any of the performance of Swisscom's Internetbox 2. As a result, I now only have a few Mbits speed in the room directly adjacent to the router location. Internetbox 2 still provides full speed. I would like to continue to have a modem and WLAN router in the same device.

Hello everyone, I'm planning to choose a fibre provider and would like to ask a few questions to help me make the best decision. I'm mainly interested in using my own hardware and better understanding the differences between suppliers. I would appreciate if anyone could share their experience or knowledge on the following points: 1. are there any fibre providers in Switzerland (other than Init7) that officially allow me to use my own hardware so that I can experiment with home-built routers? 2. if a supplier does not officially allow this, is it known if they actively take measures to prevent it? Is there a way to get all the required connection details (VLAN IDs, PPPoE credentials etc.) myself? 3. are there any advantages to choosing Sunrise (slightly more expensive) over Yallo (slightly cheaper) for a similar offer, even though both technically use the same infrastructure? Is there any kind of traffic prioritisation or better quality of service for the higher price? 4. the same question arises with Swisscom compared to Wingo: Are there any known advantages with Swisscom that justify the higher price compared to Wingo? 5. is there perhaps a better platform or another forum to ask such questions? Many thanks in advance for your help and answers!

I have a Sunrise mobile subscription and can get a second SIM card for CHF 5 per month. With 4G, I get about 60Mbit at home via my mobile phone. The upload would even be a lot faster than with the cablecom subscription. I could definitely save a lot of money that way. My question: - Does anyone have experience with this? - Which devices would I have to buy if the router ideally also has fast WLAN where I could also connect my NAS? Thank you for your help. In any case, I already know a few colleagues who are also interested in this topic. Greetings Lukas

I currently have 4 different WLAN networks and would like to replace them with a meshnetwork for the sake of simplicity. I have a LAN connection to each access point. How do I find out which device is compatible with which? Is there a meshnetwork that also has a guest network? Centralised Management of the devices would also be great. Do you have any product recommendations? Should also be affordable...

Good day. We have Salt at home with a Gigabox. We also have a huawei ax3 router. Does anyone have any experience whether another router works? According to Salt, it is only guaranteed to work with the one supplied. However, the possibility of another router working has not been ruled out.

Hello all, I've been trying for months now and just can't get WOL to work with the Sunrise router. Has anyone been able to do this? I have tried numerous instructions on the net, but nothing has worked. Requirements: - Internet Box is connected directly to the fibre socket - Dynamic IP address - Ethernet connection from the router to the AccessPoint, Ethernet connection from the AccessPoint to the PC (I also tried without AccessPoint in between) - Wake-up with TeamViewer if possible, but other solutions are also welcome (Android smartphone). And yes, Windows and BIOS settings are correct, static IP is guaranteed by third-party providers. Thanks for your tips!

I have a Wingo Second SIM and would like a mobile router with 4G or 5G. What do I need to consider? Does anyone have any suggestions as to which router works with Wingo? Thank you very much for your quick feedback. P.J

Hello, I'd like to equip my parents' cottage with a 5G router, as their cottage has no wired connection. There is a sunrise 5g antenna not far from them, but reception inside is poor. I was thinking of installing a router with an outdoor antenna for 5G reception. Do you have any recommendations? I found this kit, do you think it would be suitable? https://www.galaxus.ch/fr/s1/product/zte-mc889t3000-routeur-35513313?tagIds=7-1377 Thank you in advance for your answers and have a nice day!

Hello everyone I am looking for a mobile router for travelling around the world. I would like to buy a local SIM card in the respective country while travelling and then create a hotspot with the mobile router. Does anyone have any experience? The mobile router should work worldwide with a local SIM. I know that there is still a possibility with an old mobile and hotspot, but I explicitly want to take a mobile router with me. If you can establish a VPN in the local network with the router, that would be the best thing:) Who can help me? :)

What is the difference between Fritz!Box 4060 and 4060 International? Is it just the price or are there other features?
