Seagate Game Drive for PS4

If the used version is meant, yes - but the warranty there is only 12 months.
According to our own research, this is unfortunately only suitable for the PS4.
Is compatible with both. The crucial thing is that it is formatted with exFAT. You can take any USB 3.0 hard drive and format it via the console menu, as well as on the PC/notebook.
Yes
Should work. :) But you will certainly notice a difference in speed compared to the SSD. Alternatively, you could also retrofit a Game Drive M.2, certainly the nicer solution. Seagate Game Drive M.2 SSD for PS5 (2000 GB, M.2 2280)
I use it for my PS5, works perfectly. Highly recommended.
Yes. You can format it as you like, whether ntfs or extfat.
Hello Well, as I remember, it can add deleted data back.
Yes, you can. The PS5 even supports all external USB hard drives with USB 3.0/3.1 speed. If necessary, the hard drive can be formatted directly on the PS5 or on the PC (normal FAT32 or the newer exFat). Here in detail: https://www.playstation.com/de-ch/support/hardware/ps5-extended-storage https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/ps5-external-hard-drive.html
I think this hard drive is only compatible with the Ps4. It is best to buy external hard drives from the same brand as the device. (but don't know if Apple offers these).
Digitec is not responsible for the internal operation or malfunction of the PS4. Try putting the default save on the external drive. Go back into the game and make a new backup. Otherwise see the official PS4 documentation https://manuals.playstation.net/document/fr/ps4/basic/extendedstorage.html#:~:text=You%20can%20d%C3%A9place%20applications,Param%C3%A8tres)%20%3E%20%5BStorage%5D.&text=S%C3%A9select%20storage%20o%C3%B9%20se,%2C%20then%20s%C3%A9select%20%5BApplications%5D.
Hi Ale, this works tiptop with both generations. So I saved myself the migration of games from PS4 to PS5.... Plug it in and go! Greetings
HDD These data relevant to you are not given because even the manufacturer does not specify them. What should Digitec write then? https://www.seagate.com/de/de/consumer/play/game-drive-playstation/#specs https://www.seagate.com/www-content/datasheets/pdfs/game-drive-playstation-emea-DS1995-7-2010-DE-de_DE.pdf There are reasons why they are not given and Seagate is not the only manufacturer. Hardly anyone actually does this with external hard drives. If the manufacturer does not give exact technical specifications, he is very flexible in the HD he installs in the housing. So he can always take what is currently available and cheap.

Hello Meik Just tried it yesterday, works without problems so far. Greetings Jan
Unfortunately not. This product is only compatible with PS4.
I used it like a madman on the Ps4 for 3 years. No problems at all. The PS4 is now with this external hard drive at my brother's. Since November, since I now have the Ps5. I can't say anything about the external hard drive constellation with the PS5 from my own experience, but I can only confirm what you wrote.
Yes, however, for PS5 games, the console requires the game to be on the console's hard drive. This means that you have to move the game if you want to play it. Unlike PS4 games, the PS5 console can play the games directly from the external hard drive.
Good morning Laurent As far as my experience and my friends are concerned, it is compatible. LG
Yes, it works perfectly. However, only PS4 games can be played from an external hard drive. Greetings
Sorry, but I only have a PS4, so I can't tell you if it's possible with a PS5
No link to the account. Can move from PS4 to PS4.
Yep, you can currently only save and play PS4 games on your hard drive, it doesn't work with PS5 games (whatever Sony is up to). And just for understanding, this is an HDD and not an SSD.
I can't say, it runs fine on the PS4.
Yes it works, PS4 games are automatically installed on the Seagate Game Drive, PS5 games can only be installed on the internal PS5 SSD and not on the Seagate Game Drive.
